The Dreamer's Official Sketchbook!
This deviantART account will be used as the official sketchbook for my webcomic, The Dreamer--a story about a teenage girl who begins dreaming about the Revolutionary War. I won't be posting the actual comic pages here, but sketches, character designs, and behind the scenes stuff will all be featured!
So... if you haven't read The Dreamer yet, what are you waiting for?

So exciting!
Thanks for letting me know!
That's exciting!
*all up in your Snitter exchange* Boo to no-Chicago, but yay to Baltimore (possibly). And SPACE? I went back a few years ago, it was okay for a hotel con. Have you gone to it before?
I thought... we'll, it's a con for Indy Comic books, I make indy comic books so I signed up. Recently a friend of mine said, "You're going to Space...??" all indignant and wary-like. I said, 'uh, yeah. I thought I should go support it." He said, "Well... you know they'll probably thumb their noses at you: 'IDW is a big time publisher.' "
Dude. If they EVEN do that to me. I'll boycott my hometown... Seriously...??? Do you get more indy than a webcomic??? And... I don't even make money by having my comic books in stores!!
So, its a room or two at a hotel, no big deal, but maybe 100 people coming through. Those people will adore you and The Dreamer, IDW and all. I think Dreamer will be the highlight of the show. Some of the other exhibitors might frown though honestly more from being a webcomic than IDW. Way lame.
The guy who helps run the thing acts like this its bigger than San Diego. Seriously, he told a new artist from England to skip NYCC for SPACE. And also that indy comics is the thing that's going to keep comics 'alive.' Webcomics, no. selling PDF downloads, Yes. ick.
I sold one book, but that's because my book stunk and I was way introvert. The people I hung out with afterwards were VERY nice and I even met someone that drove from Milwaukee. O_o
Hopefully, you'll be in the big room because the second room is like down the hall and the size of my front room and gets a third of the traffic.
You'll probably be hit up to join a few indy comic groups like BPP, UFO, SPA and some other letters. If you see the SPA 2009 calendar, look at the month of July for a picture of Sabrina!
If you do commissions I bet you'll make your money back and I bet you sell a fair share of comics. Are you selling IDW Dreamer? And I bet that everyone is very nice to you, I mean, who wouldn't?
Let me know how it goes, I hope its off the hook.
I was planning on doing commissions and selling left over prints/sketchbooks & comics from last year. I don't have books from IDW to sell.
I'll let you know how it goes...
Speaking of which...do you know when this year's Chicago con is?
