Here are my sketches for The Dreamer Volume 2 cover. I drew it all digitally, so I was able to move each character around and tweak the composition a lot easier. I don't think I'll ever go back to working traditionally. I guess some people think that's a weakness, I think it's taking advantage of the tools available to you.

You can see the final (digital) painting here: [link]

You can order your copy through Amazon...

...or any other bookstore using the ISBN #: 978-1-61377 – 031-3

For comic shops, use this order code: SEP110353

The Dreamer is my historical fiction, time travel romantic adventure story. Either buy the collected versions, or read online every Wednesday and Friday! [link]

Yup. I'm all digital now. I had to teach myself--I mean sit down and force myself to draw with only my tablet--before I got used to it.

I use a program called Sketchbook Pro that is phenomenal at creating that "inked" look.

I think choosing the right tools is a question of preference. With both digital and traditional, you can create awesome stuff. I like mixing both! :D

I agree! I just don't think being a digital artist = cheating, or not being a "real" artists. If you're a good artist, it'll show despite how you make your work. And unfortunately the reverse is true too. Using digital tricks won't fix horrible anatomy, no sense of color theory, or make your backgrounds better...

Indeed. A lot of people think computers are magic, but really, it's just as much hard work to do digital then traditional. Heck, the fact that you can zoom in allows you to obsess over little details. It's really more a question of styles and preferences.
