I'm working on putting a submission together for a site called Art Bloom. They collect old art from artists and compare it to their current work, as a way to encourage aspiring artists that even their heroes were once crappy.

I was home in Pennsylvania this weekend and got all my old sketchbooks from my parents attic, and in there I found this piece: Sephiroth!!! This is from my senior year of High School, I was probably 18 when I drew this.

I think... it still stands up. It's not crappy enough to put on Art Bloom so I thought I'd share it here.

You could draw like this when you were 18?! I can't even draw like this now. I need ALOT more practice to draw something this good. You are awesome!

Well, practice is the only way you get there, you know? I just always drew a lot... (if by a lot I mean every second of every day.) so I think I developed faster than other kids.

He,he, yeah. I guess if you drew constaintly it would help. I was never that interested in drawing until a year or 2 ago. I'm working on it, but I wish I had more time.

Back in HS I played FF7 all the time with my sister, but when I went to college we didn't have a PS in our dorm, so I sort of got out of it. Played a lot of FFX at one point but never finished it. I have Cloud & Sephiroth action figures on my computer desk though! :D
