I just got back from Heroes Con in Charlotte. They do an auction there each year where artists donate pieces of their work. I did this piece for the auction Saturday afternoon while I was at the show. I used blue pencil and ink on cold press illustration board. I don't ink much, but I thought the piece would show up better if I did. I borrowed some pens from the Blue Line Pro guys who are dear old friends of mine.

This piece went for $200 which wasn't bad given that it was one of the last pieces in the auction.

I love the attention to detail you put into this piece! Everything looks spot on! I really miss this version of Rogue!:( $200.00? That's great, and you did a simply remarkable job drawing her!:D

Yeah, I miss all the old school X-Men. I'm so bored with them right now. It's like a soap opera not a superhero team... and I don't care who's sleeping with who.

Me too!:( I am actually enjoying the mini-crossover they're involved in right now, but it's mostly because it involves the Dark Avengers. To me, The Sentry is a very interesting character! There's just something about a near god-like person who seemingly can no longer die(he was killed by a witch and then re-appeared later, unharmed), has split personalities, but also seems to be afraid of his own shadow!:)
