This is my last prize drawing (done in the inside cover to my 2008 sketchbook) for the three winners of my Fan Art Contest.

This one is for Beatrice who wrote a short story about Nathan Hale and... well, at least his *historical* end. :XD:

So since she fan arted me, I fan arted her. Here's a little sketch of Nathan for her from her story. Or from history. Or from... geez, I dunno. It's Nathan Hale, he's about to die! Enjoy. :XD:

Okay, so I follow your comic like a rabid fan girl and since the whole "let's hang him" update, I keep revisting this page and re-reading the "well, at least his *historical* end" part of the artist comments so that I can breathe and hope that you're going to find some crazy way to save Nathan.

When I was a kid, I was always known as the "weird bookworm". I was always by myself, reading. At first it was kid books, but then somehow I became thoroughly interested in the American Revolution. I think the tv show "Liberty's Kids" got me interested, but I do remember reading about Nathan Hale. Aaaaaaaaand I instantly fell in love.

Honestly, if he had not been dead for 300+ years, I would have married the man. I still would.

I was such a weird kid...but your comic was like the answer to my childhood dreams. Thanks :)

Now, if you introduce Lafayette somewhere in there, I will love you forever (another historical crush) XDDD
