Oh wait...that would be a MacBook Pro....
I know, but my first reaction was: "Damn, that's a big box for a MacBook Pro...oh, wait."
As for why most PC's are crappier, Windows aside, it's because Apple uses the higher-end hardware from the PC pool. I've used macs and PC's for 19 years (well I'm 24 so I couldn't have started much earlier) and have experience with all versions of Windows, several of Mac OS, numerous Linux variants, Solaris, and FreeBSD (no Amiga though). I know first hand that properly built PC's are no less reliable than macs, and sometimes even more so. But of course, macs have the integrated experience and eye candy. The mac pro looks nice, especially on the inside, and I've tested the new one and it runs wonderfully. However, since I care less about integration and aesthetics than I do raw power and customization, I decided to go with a PC workstation running Linux. I really like the mac pro, and enjoy using it, but, as a power user with several specific needs, I can go farther with the same money elsewhere.
I've never used PCs so they're foreign and confusing to me. I grew up with Macs, and I'm a happy customer so with them I shall remain. I'm not a programer, I'm an artist. I find the PC interface confusing. It's gotten a lot better but back in the 90's it was a mess compared to my Apple.
