The girls who do The Battle of Dovecoat Crest were taking a break between the story arcs, and asked for fan art donations. I really enjoy their comic, it's a simple romance story about reenactors at an obscure battle site of the Civil War. Charlie is the recent college grad with big dreams for her future, until she finds herself director of Dovecoat Crest. She can't wait to get out of there, and onto a real historians job... until she meets Jeremy. Romance & antics & great supporting characters ensue.

If you haven't read it, check it out. Doing fan art was fun, as was drawing *Civil* War costumes for a change!

Gah, it sounds like another marvelous comic!

I'll definately be spending tomorrow reading it. I really thought that I was the only one, under fifty, who cared about the Revolutionary War (or any older war) until I came across you!

And now this comic, of course. Lovely work. I love their expressions.

Fantastic! Both the 1700's and 1860's are my favorite periods in history and it's wonderful to see them come alive in your art!

I would totally wear those hats if they came back into fashion; I even have one from a reenactment when I was little. Unfortunately, it is much too small for my head now.
